The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking to hire an Account Manager with high achieving experience to work at Parse.ly. The ideal candidate will be someone with strong business acumen and experience of growing and sustaining customer accounts. We’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about their customers and understands how important they are to our business. You should be obsessed with organization and vigilant about staying on top of tasks. You should have a track record for maneuvering through organizations, uncovering opportunities, and building referral relationships to penetrate accounts.

As an early employee you’ll be working directly with executives at Parse.ly, and your work will directly impact most aspects of the company.

The Specifics

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with our customers
  • Help customers through email, phone, online presentations, screen-share and in person meetings
  • Play an integral role in demonstrating value to potential customers to help close deals
  • Keep track and engage with multiple accounts. You're going to have a lot of customers, so you'll have to set goals and execute them
  • Customer follow up and regular account management
  • Monitor and analyze performance to ensure customer satisfaction and engagement
  • Facilitate the on boarding of new clients to ensure smooth overall implementation of customer

Requirements

  • 2-3 years related account management/sales experience, ideally for a SaaS company
  • Communicate clearly in order to explain technical ideas to people that get them and people that don't
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Dedicated to improving inefficient processes at Parse.ly
  • Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
  • Expert at Microsoft Office Suite and Google products like GMail, Google Docs, Calendar

The Ideal Candidate

We have a great opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate student who's looking to get involved with a venture-backed startup. Through this internship you will work directly with the CEO to give you experience with all aspects of a startup such as:

  • Marketing
  • Sales
  • Writing
  • Operations

In addition to the extensive experience, you'll also have the benefit of:

  • Diving deep into the NYC tech scene.

The ideal candidate will be ready to dive into all aspects of marketing, branding, and PR for a start-up SaaS B2B company. You should be familiar with both creative and business strategies for marketing initiatives, and looking to learn how to apply analytics to all marketing initiatives. You will help bring big ideas to life and must be excited about diving into the content producing industry to understand how to coordinate product launches and company milestones. You will report to the Director of Marketing, but work with many people on the team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the overall marketing strategy including marketing analysis, market segmentation, positioning, marketing intelligence, performance research
  • Create materials for PR and marketing that align with Parse.ly’s branding initiatives
  • Monitor trends, strategies and best practices in market and apply knowledge accordingly
  • Coordinate deliverables with vendors and marketing partners to further boost company growth goals
  • Work collaboratively with sales, product, and engineering and understand overall goals of the company
  • Report KPI and ROI metrics of marketing efforts
  • Represent Parse.ly at industry events and trade shows, as needed

Desired Skills/Experience

  • 1-2 years in marketing, preferably with SaaS and/or B2B companies
  • Interest and understanding of how to analyze and optimize campaigns across multiple platforms
  • You have a collaborative personality and have the ability to work well with others, articulate your point of view, and have confidence in your work
  • You can adept at quickly learning new processes and technologies to solve real world problems
  • Experience with event organization a plus
